Arrests Net Drugs, Weapons

Elbert County Sheriff Melvin Andrews and his deputies have arrested two individuals on Drug and firearms Charges. On July 10th in the evening hours an Elbert County Deputy Observed a suspicious vehicle off of the Hartwell Hwy at the Georgia Guidestones.
Upon further investigation the Sherriff’s office deployed a k-9 unit to the vehicle and alerted to the front passenger door indicating drugs in the vehicle. The Investigation led to the arrest of two individuals
Sean Clinton Umberger of a Clemmons, North Carolina address was arrested and charged with Driving while License was suspended, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and Three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Also arrested was Tatum Umberger of a Rural Hall, North Carolina Address. This subject was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The Investigation continues by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office
