At Least 1 Dead, 6 Injured in San Antonio Mall Shooting

iStock/Thinkstock(SAN ANTONIO) -- At least one person is dead and six others injured in a shooting at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio, Texas, the mayor's office said.

Three of the injuries were people hurt by gunshots, two people have non-shooting injuries, officials in San Antonio said.

San Antonio Police said the incident started as a robbery at a Kay Jewelers store, and when one person tried to intervene, they were shot and killed by a suspect. Another person shot that suspect, who is now in custody, while a second suspect fled after shooting others in the mall, officials said.

A second arrest was made later Sunday night, according to San Antonio Police.
