Carrie Underwood Remains Football’s Theme Queen

Sony Music NashvilleCarrie Underwood is ready for some football.

She may be married to a professional hockey player, but the country superstar clearly has a soft spot for the NFL. For the fourth straight year, she's recorded a new opening theme song for Sunday Night Football.

This season’s version, titled “Oh, Sunday Night,” is being described as a mix of country, rock and pop set to the tune of “Somethin’ Bad,” Underwood’s Grammy-nominated 2014 hit duet with Miranda Lambert. Underwood worked with the song’s writers to adapt the lyrics into a football theme.

The song will debut when the Patriots play the Cardinals Sept. 11.
