"Cars 3": Why Huck and Jasper Paisley think their dad’s pretty cool

ABC/Image Group LA Brad Paisley wrote new music for the soundtrack of Cars 3, just as he’s done for the previous films in the animated series.

One of the reasons Brad loves being involved is because the movies become beloved parts of childhood for kids everywhere, including his own sons Huck and Jasper.

“Standing the test of time,” Brad reflects, “I have two kids that are absolute products of that. I mean they are Lightning McQueen fans and they’ve gotten to get to know [Cars director] John [Lasseter] and also that entire organization.”

The “Last Time for Everything” hitmaker admits it’s pretty gratifying that the men behind the films are fans of his, too.

Brian Fee, the director of the new movie is also a huge guitar fan and a huge country fan and a fan of mine,” Brad says. “To be able to contribute to their world the way they contribute to mine, which is by giving us entertainment, is really fun.”

Brad contributes the instrumental tracks “Truckaroo” and “Thunder Hollow Breakdown” to the Cars 3 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The third installment of the animated series that centers around Owen Wilson’s Lightning McQueen is in theaters now.
