The suspect? A dog.

A missing Chihuahua was reported to be running from officers in the eastbound lanes of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. CHP officials said the dog, a black Chihuahua, ran against traffic at one point, according to ABC News affiliate KGO-TV.

CHP officials tweeted later on Sunday that the dog was safe and looking for its owner. In the meantime, the Chihuahua is in the hands of San Francisco County Animal Care.

Small Plane Crashes Into Car on California FreewayiStock/Thinkstock(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) -- A small plane crashed on a California freeway on Saturday, colliding with a car that had pulled over to the side of the road and killing a person in the car.

The National Transportation Safety Board said it was investigating the crash, which occurred in Fallbrook, California, on the 15 North about 50 miles north of San Diego.

According to the NTSB, the Lancair IV was piloted by Dennis Hogge, who is also the owner of the plane.

The plane is the same one that was owned by former Major League Baseball player Matt Nokes, who told ABC News that in February 2000 engine trouble with the plane forced him to make an emergency landing on the same Southern California highway, about 30 miles from where the crash occurred Saturday. Nokes said he was able to land the plane safely after the engine quit.
