Chris Janson’s "Boat" Brings Home an Award

Sweet Talk Publicity It’s been more than a year since Chris Janson’s breakthrough hit topped the charts, but “Buy Me a Boat” is still winning awards. This weekend in Nashville, his number-one from September 2015 was named one of the 10 “Songs I Wish I’d Written” at the Nashville Songwriters Association International Awards.

“It’s an honor and I’m very humbled…” Chris says. “It means a lot to me because it was voted on by my peers, songwriters who I respect and look up to.”

Right now, Chris is in the middle of the Farm Tour with Luke Bryan, as his latest single, “Holdin’ Her,” just broke into the top 30.
