City Council Approves Budget

citycouncilThe Elberton Mayor and Council held the June Regular Meeting on Monday night at City Hall. The Council heard a report from the City Treasurer that indicated that the City has 41.5 Million dollars in net assets, at the end of April. The City operated at a profit of $36,503.78 and year to date revenues were up $909,189.87. Council also approved unanimously the 2018 Budget for the City of $35 Million. The City also approved the 2018 Budget for the Samuel Elbert Hotel of $522,035.00. Council Appointed Willie Hall, Rick Prince and Toshia Dunbrack to the Downtown Development Authority and introduced Dawn Benson as the new Main Street Elberton Coordinator.

Council also unanimously adopted the Consent Agenda with no discussion.
