Cole Swindell Claims the "Biggest Honor" of His Career

Warner Music NashvilleWith eight number-ones under his belt, including five he recorded himself, Cole Swindell picks up the mantle of NSAI Songwriter/Artist of the Year. The Georgia native accepted the award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International via video this weekend, while he was on the West Coast leg of Florida Georgia Line’s Dig Your Roots Tour.

“It’s the biggest honor of my career by far because I moved to this town to be a songwriter…” Cole said via a pre-recorded statement. “All I ever wanted to do was to write songs.”

Cole continues on his stint with FGL through the 22nd of this month, before embarking on his latest headlining tour October 26 to support Down Home Sessions III, which comes out two days later. His latest single, “Middle of a Memory,” just broke into the top five.
