"Cowboy hats off" to best-selling author Tim McGraw

ABC/Image Group LATim McGraw can now add another honor to his long list of accolades: best-selling author.

This week, his new book, Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest, and the Music That Made a Nation, debuts at #2 on the New York Times’ list of Hardcover Nonfiction Best Sellers.

“Very proud and grateful for Songs of America reception,” his co-author, Pulitzer Prize winner Jon Meacham tweeted. “(Cowboy) hats off to Tim McGraw.”

While we’re still waiting for news of Tim’s next collection of music, there is a new recording by the superstar. It’s the audio version of the book, which the New York Times describes as an “explor[ation of] how America was shaped by music.”
