(DALLAS) -- Dallas Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Friday when police said a suspect was throwing large rocks at a woman believed to be the mother of his children.
According to police, an officer was rushed by the suspect and he was struck by rocks at least twice before he shot the suspect a "number fo times."
The suspect was transported to a local hospital unconscious, police said.
The woman involved in the incident was unharmed, according to police, and the officer who was involved has been placed on routine, administrative leave.
