Dan+Shay’s Dan Smyers Saves Both Dog and Man in Same Day

Warner Music NashvilleIn between starting the week with a performance on ABC’s Good Morning America and picking up the Good for a Good Time tour Friday night in Bristow, Virginia, Dan+Shay’s Dan Smyers found time to be a bit of hero on Wednesday -- not once, but twice!

“Today was a day,” Dan shared on his Facebook page. “Found a biker fallen with a broken hip + called/carried him into an ambulance. THEN, found a dog dodging cars on my way home from Music Row. The dog is in our backyard until we find its owner, or adopt him.”

Shortly afterwards, the admitted animal lover was able to add a happy ending to the story.

“…found the dog's owner… + we got him home. No lie, the biker AND the dog were named Roger. Can't make that up,” he quipped.

Dan+Shay’s latest hit, “From the Ground Up,” is currently spending its second week in the top five.
