Darius Rucker’s Ready to Pick Up His Hammer for Habitat for Humanity in 2017

ABC/Image Group LADarius Rucker will help build hundreds of Habitat for Humanity homes across the U.S. next year, as he partners with building products maker PlyGem. He’ll take over for Alan Jackson as the 2017 Home for Good project ambassador.

“From an early age, my mother always encouraged us to give back,” the South Carolina native recalls. “Whether it was mowing a neighbor’s yard or supporting a friend, I think it’s important to give back any time and chance you can. For me… [this] opportunity…. is incredible. I am really looking forward to what we can do together.”

During Alan’s year with PlyGem, the company donated enough windows, siding and building materials for 300 homes.
