"Dear Hate": You’ll be able to download Maren Morris’ response to the Las Vegas tragedy on Friday

ABC/Mark LevineAfter Maren Morris’ surprise release of the track “Dear Hate” in response to the mass shooting at a country concert in Las Vegas on Sunday night, the song will be available for download Friday.

“Due to overwhelming response,” Maren tweeted, “‘Dear Hate’ will be available on iTunes Friday with proceeds going to the Music City Cares Fund.”

Maren wrote the song three years ago and recorded the duet with Vince Gill just last year. Though she’d pondered when to release it, she decided on Monday it was the right time.

You can listen to “Dear Hate” on YouTube now, in advance of it being available to download on Friday.  if you want to help, donations to the Music City Cares Fund go to help victims of the Las Vegas shooting.
