Dierks the designer: Arizona native launches Desert Son fashion line

Flag & AnthemThe Mountain may be the name for Dierks Bentley’s forthcoming ninth album, but he’s turning to the desert as inspiration for his new fashion line. The Arizona native is launching his new clothing collection, Desert Son, both in stores and online this month.

Dierks created the clothes along with his longtime stylist, Annie Psaltiras, in partnership with the Flag & Anthem brand. The spring collection is mostly men’s items: vintage-washed tees, raglans, hoodies and hats, but there are a handful of women’s tees as well. By summer and fall, Desert Son will expand to include button-downs, knit tops, denim and jackets.

"This has been such a fun thing to create and develop,” Dierks says. “I love clothes that are perfectly worn-in, like you’ve had them a lifetime, but can also take the wear and tear that comes from an active lifestyle.”

“I’ve learned over the last few months that there’s a real art to getting that just right,” he adds. “The Flag & Anthem guys have been doing it at the highest level and have helped me put together a collection that I think is totally authentic to me and one that hopefully people all over the country will dig too.”
