Dolly Parton Gives Fans a Taste of "Pure & Simple"

Dolly Records/RCA NashvilleDolly Parton is giving fans the first taste of new music from her forthcoming album Pure & Simple, as she releases a lyric video for the title track.

“The song ‘Pure and Simple’ is about an uncomplicated, real love,” Dolly says. “I recorded it in a pure and simple fashion. It reminds me of the early country songs I used to write and record… just uncomplicated, pure and simple. I’m glad it’s the first single. I hope the fans will simply enjoy it.”

At least two other songs from the collection go back to her beginnings as well.  She previously recorded both “Say Forever You’ll Be Mine” and “Tomorrow is Forever” with Porter Wagoner in the 70's. Pure & Simple, which comes out August 19, is available for pre-order now.
