Fund Set up for Abused and Battered Dog found during Labor Day weekend

The City of Elberton Animal Control received a very battered and abused dog brought in on Sunday of last week during the memorial day weekend. They have affectionately named the Dog “Mercy”

She has puncture wounds and what looks like road rash from being dragged in the roadway. After she was brought in officials at Elberton Animal Control have made her comfortable. She is now being treated by a Vet in the Royston area . There is a fund set up at the vet for her and animal control is asking anyone to please pledge what you can to get her seen. Without vetting her future is bleak.

Donations can be made to Royston Animal Hospital at (706)245-6650 Please let them know it is for Mercy from The City of Elberton.  You can see pictures and get updates on Mercy at and on Facebook (search wsgcradio).

WSGC Radio will also be raising funds to help Mercy get well. Please call us at 706-283-1400 and we will make sure your donation gets to the Vet for her care.
