Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Dylan Scott and many more will pay tribute to the late Keith Whitley during a special concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on May 9, the thirtieth anniversary of the revered singer’s death.
Keith’s widow Lorrie Morgan and the pair’s son, Jesse Keith Whitley, will both host and perform, with Lorrie’s band backing up a long list of special guests as they perform Whitley classics. Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, Mark Wills, Darryl Worley and more are just some of the names already set to take the stage.
Last month, during performances in Nashville, both Garth and Dylan performed songs by Whitley.
The May 9 show at the CMA Theater will be the culmination of the annual motorcycle ride that takes place every year from Keith’s hometown of Sandy Hook, Kentucky to his gravesite at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
Tickets for the 30th Anniversary Keith Whitley Memorial Concert go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. CT at CMATheater.com. The tribute coincides with an upcoming exhibit at the Hall of Fame.
