George Zimmerman’s Gun Returns to Auction Block

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- The gun George Zimmerman used to kill 17-year-old Trayvon Martin four years ago is back on the auction block Tuesday.

The starting bid is once again $100,000. The previous online offering of the 9-millimeter pistol was pulled after it was hijacked by phony bidders.

The listing for the gun reads "George Zimmerman's Gun used 2/26/12." The date is the day Martin died after he was fatally shot by Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida, while Zimmerman was volunteering for a neighborhood watch program.

Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter the following year.

The 32-year-old says some of the proceeds of the auction will go towards combating Hillary Clinton's anti-firearm campaign rhetoric.
