"Good Girl": Carrie Underwood helps injured policeman from her hometown

ABC/Image Group LA Carrie Underwood is pitching in to help an injured police officer from her Oklahoma hometown.

Checotah Assistant Police Chief Justin Durrett suffered multiple neck injuries on February 11, after his truck ran off the road, flipped, and pinned him underneath, according to the Tulsa World.

Carrie donated $10,000 to the GoFundMe account created to help the 35-year-old father of three, under her married name, Carrie Fisher.

Durrett is a 13-year veteran of the Checotah Police Department.  Carrie was born in nearby Muskogee, Oklahoma, and grew up in the rural town of Checotah.
