Have "Mercy": Brett Young is four for four when it comes to number ones

CMABrett Young continues his string of number ones this week, as “Mercy” arrives at the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.

The song is Brett’s fourth chart topper and the fourth release from his self-titled debut album, meaning every single he’s put out so far has gone to #1.

“We knew pretty early that ‘Mercy’ had to be a single because of the way fans respond when I played it live,” he explains. “I wrote this song from a really vulnerable and honest place, so to see it go #1 is really special.”

“Mercy” has been certified platinum as well. Look for the ACM New Male Vocalist to perform his latest #1 Wednesday on ABC’s annual CMA Fest special. You can tune in for the three-hour musical extravaganza starting at 8 p.m. ET.
