Huff found guilty on Seven Felonies

An Elbert County jury has found Jonathan Otaris Huff guilty on 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, 3 counts of having a firearm in the commission of a felony, and 1 count of the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Huff was represented by Attorney Conner Magill of the Northern Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office. Assistant District Attorney Jeff Lee was lead prosecutor for the state, and the trial was presided over by the Chief Superior Court Judge Jeffery Malcolm. Judge Malcolm sentenced Huff to a total of 35 years with 15 of the years to be served in confinement.

Huff was arrested after an incident on March 25th of 2018 by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office when he had discharged a firearm around his three children following a verbal altercation with them while at the Sunny Brook Apartments.
