Hurricane Evacuee Shelters opening in Elberton, Wendy’s Collecting Bottled Water

The Elbert County Community is showing it’s love of it’s fellow man by opening Hurricane evacuee shelters in the County. The Following Organizations have opened or will be opening shelters for Hurricane evacuees if needed in Elbert County:
Elbert County Middle School
Elbert County High School
First Baptist Church “Fellowship Hall”
First United Methodist Church
Eliam United Methodist Church
Pleasant Grove Baptist
Fortsonia Baptist
Richard B. Russell State Park

The Elberton Wendy’s has stepped up to be a drop off point for Bottled water for the Salvation Army of Elberton. The water will be used by the local unit of the Salvation Army to be taken to wherever they are deployed to help with victims and evacuees of Hurricane Irma. Please drop your donation of bottled water off at Wendy’s of Elberton on Elbert Street. Wendy’s staff will personally deliver the donated water to the local unit of the Salvation army of Elberton
