"If You’re City, If You’re Country": Granger Smith’s alter ego has his say in new paperback

Design Credit: Patrick BiedererGranger Smith’s patriotic alter-ego will soon become a published author, as the first book by Earl Dibbles Jr., If You’re City, If You’re Country, arrives August 21.

The illustrated paperback compares and contrasts the two ways of life, and also comes with a five-song CD featuring some of Earl’s greatest hits.

For Granger, it’s been a labor of love.

“Writing these jokes as a creative outlet has been the product of so many late night, after show laughs with the band,” the Texas native says. “Earl in his entire existence has been a walking caricature and finally seeing him in all his glory come to life in illustrations seems so natural.”

If You’re City, If You’re Country is available to pre-order now, and also includes audio of Earl reading the book. Here’s the track listing for the accompanying CD:

“The Country Boy Song”
“Country Boy Love”
“City Boy Stuck”
“Merica”
“Don’t Tread on Me”
“If You’re City, If You’re Country” (audio)
