According to a message sent to parents and families of Ithaca College students by university president Tom Rochon, the fight took place on Cornell's campus following a student-organized event. Two Ithaca College students were stabbed in the fight, Rochon said, including 19-year-old Anthony Nazaire.

Nazaire, a sophomore from Brooklyn, N.Y., was killed. The name of the student who was injured is being withheld as part of the City of Ithaca Police Department's investigation. That student, the school says, has been treated and released from an area hospital.

The school says that there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the Ithaca College campus or students. A campus-wide gathering is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday at Muller Chapel.
