It’s a Dog’s Life: Randy Houser Brings an Added Attraction to the Dierks Bentley Tour

BBR Music GroupThis summer, Randy Houser’s been busy opening Dierks Bentley’s Somewhere on a Beach tour. In addition to Cam and Tucker Beathard, there’s another added attraction on the trek -- Randy’s right-hand man, his one-year-old Goldendoodle Hawk.

“He does great!” Randy says of his prowess as a road dog. “He hasn't really had any accidents on the bus or anything. He's the smartest dog I've ever been around in my life. He catches on to everything really fast, so we don't have to worry about it. He's learned so much so fast!”

Randy confesses taking Hawk along for the ride also has its mental health benefits.

“For me, he's a therapeutic thing. He really has helped me through a lot of things. When things are crappy, it's hard to be in a bad mood when you have this incredibly handsome dog come up and let you know that he loves you!”

You can keep up with Hawk through his Instagram account, where you can frequently spot him wearing his noise-cancelling headphones while he watches his dad from the side of the stage.
