Police investigating thefts of two vehicles, other items

Elberton Police are investigating a number of recent thefts from residences in the city, including two reports of stolen automobiles.
Between the evening of Sept. 17 and morning of Sept. 18, a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer valued at $6,000 was reported stolen from a Burke Street residence.
On Wednesday, a 1998 Lexus LS400 valued at $2,500 was reported stolen from a Brookwood Circle address. According to the police report, the vehicle was part of an estate and was taken without the estate’s permission.
On Sept. 17, items valued at $1,075 were reported stolen from a Hayes Street residence. The same day, a burglary was reported at a College Avenue residence. Electronics valued at $200 were reported stolen.
On Sept. 13, a theft was reported to have occurred at a Walden Way residence. Items valued at a total of $606 were reported stolen. Police are seeking two suspects in the theft, according to the incident report.
