Pretty in pink: Carrie Underwood returns for the Opry’s 10th annual show to combat breast cancer

Photo courtesy Grand Ole Opry LLC. Chris Hollo, photographerCarrie Underwood played the first Opry Goes Pink show back in 2009, and next month, she’ll return for the Grand Ole Opry’s 10th annual edition of the special charity night, which raises money to help end breast cancer.

Carrie will start the night by flipping an oversize light switch to turn the Opry’s iconic backdrop pink. Then, she’ll go on to play two shows at the Opry on Friday, October 26.

Five dollars from each ticket sold will go toward breast cancer research. Packages are also available that include Carrie’s new Cry Pretty album -- which comes out on Friday -- as well as a commemorative poster.

You can find out more at Opry.com. Look for more artists to be added to the lineup in the coming days.
