Protest Erupt in Milwaukee After a Fatal Officer Involved Shooting

iStock/Thinkstock(MILWAUKEE) -- Protests erupted in the Sunset Heights, neighborhood of  Milwaukee, Wisconsin as protests arose just hours after a fatal police shooting.

Assistant Police Chief Bill Jessup said the shooting occurred after a vehicle with two men was stopped by police.

The identity of the 23-year-old deceased man has not been released and it isn't clear if he pointed the gun at the 24-year-old officer.

The officer has since been placed on leave.
