Reba Reveals Surprise Double Inspirational Album Coming Soon, Plus First Headlining Show at the Ryman

BMLGIn a Facebook Live chat on Thursday, Reba announced her new surprise double album coming February 3.

Streaming from the set of her new music video for “Back to God,” the Country Music Hall of Famer revealed that Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope will feature one disc that focuses on traditional hymns, while the second will zero in on more contemporary, optimistic tunes.

Sing It Now was the perfect title for this album,” Reba says, “because the message and melody throughout the songs connects the dots between the traditional hymns I grew up on and new music that has been uplifting for me in challenging times.”

Co-produced by Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, the 20-track set features plenty of special guests, including bluegrass family band The Isaacs on a medley of “In the Garden” and “Wonderful Peace.” Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood join the icon for a new take on “Softly and Tenderly,” which will be available for download on Friday.

Harkening back to their beginning as the Singing McEntires, Reba’s mother Jackie and her sisters even join in on the record.

“Music conjures up great memories and goes hand-in-hand with us McEntires,” Reba reflects. “Mama, Susie and Alice even came into the studio with me to record ‘I’ll Fly Away,’ and all of us gathered around an old hymnal straight from the Chockie [Oklahoma] church.”

Reba and her mother also penned another composition on the album called “I Got the Lord on My Side.”

The actress and entrepreneur will celebrate her new musical endeavor with her first-ever headlining show at the historic Ryman Auditorium on February 15. Tickets for the concert are on sale now.
