Georgia is still in the hunt for a spot in the College Football Playoff, but this week state bragging rights are on the line when the Bulldogs visit arch rival Georgia Tech Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The Yellow Jackets have had a disappointing regular season but would like nothing more than to pull the upset over the SEC East champion Bulldogs. Kickoff time is 12 noon, with ABC (WSB-TV 2/WLOS-TV 13/WJBF-TV 6) providing TV coverage.
On the other side of the Savannah River, the Clemson Tigers will spend rivalry Saturday at Columbia, where they will take on the South Carolina Gamecocks at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
Georgia Southern, with Elbert County’s own Chad Lunsford as interim head coach, will try to close out the regular season with two straight wins when they meet the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in Lafayette with a 3 p.m. kickoff on the ESPN 3 streaming network.
On Sunday, the suddenly red-hot Atlanta Falcons put their winning streak up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1 p.m. on FOX from Mercedes Benz Stadium.
