Robin Roberts Goes Honky-Tonkin’ for Her 8th Annual CMA Special

ABC/Heidi GutmanRobin Roberts’ pre-awards specials have become a CMA tradition, and this year, for the 50th anniversary of country music’s biggest awards show, the Good Morning America anchor is doing something special.

The former Music City resident will tape her eighth annual preview in front of a live audience at one of the world’s most famous honky tonks, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway. The show will include performances and appearances from some of the biggest stars in the genre, along with a look back at the most memorable moments in a half-century of awards.

All Access Nashville:  Celebrating the CMA Awards with Robin Roberts will air Monday, October 31 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC, just ahead of the trophies being handed out on Wednesday.
