Runaway June score first top 20 hit with "Buy My Own Drinks"

BBRRunaway June has reached a career milestone.

The trio of Jennifer WayneNaomi Cooke and Hannah Mulholland have scored their first-ever top 20 hit on the country chart with their single "Buy My Own Drinks."

In addition to that personal milestone, the track also has bragging rights on another record: It's the first single by a female country group since 2005 to reach the top 20 on country radio. Previous all-female groups in this position include Dixie Chicks and SHeDAISY

“We love being a part of country music! This has been an amazing year, being on tour with Carrie Underwood - and now to having our first top 20 song and to be the first female group to achieve this in nearly 15 years is insane,” Mulholland shares.

“Thank you to our amazing team, and country radio. We can’t wait to get our album out later this month and share our music with fans out on the road this summer.”

The trio, know for tracks like "Lipstick" and "Wild West," are slated to release their debut album Blue Roses on June 28.
