The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office arrested four individuals Tuesday as the result of a month-long investigation into illegal drug sales at 1733 A.M. Grizzle Road and 1565 Brewer’s Bridge Court.
Michael Steven Oglesby, 49, of an A.M. Grizzle Road address in Dewy Rose and Andrea Prater, 49 of a Lake Drive address in Thomson were charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug-related objects.
Bill R. Blackmon, 56, of a Brewer’s Bridge Court, Elberton, address and Michelle Diane Crawford, 55, of an Oak Drive, Elberton, address were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug-related objects. Crawford was also charged with use of drug-related objects.
In an unrelated case… A 31-year-old Martinez, Ga., man faces multiple drug charges as the result of an investigation by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.
Jonathan Duane Austin was arrested Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, four counts of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with intent to distribute, possession of drug-related objects and four counts of prescription not in original container.
According to the sheriff’s report, Austin had been found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of his truck, which was parked at a Hartwell Highway location, and the sheriff’s K-9 unit alerted to the vehicle.
