Sheriff and officers continue to make multiple drug arrests

Elbert County Sheriff Melvin Andrews has announced the February 5 arrests of three individuals on drug possession charges.
Officers arrested 29-year-old Bradley Lee Webb, 53-year-old Tracy Anne Fleming Smith and 50-year-old Janet H. Arceo after conducting a “knock and talk” investigation at their residence on the Washington Highway, according to the incident report. All three suspects were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Webb was released on $15,000 bond, and as of Monday afternoon, Smith and Arceo were being held at the Elbert County Detention Center on $15,000 bond.
In a separate incident, Sheriff’s officers arrested 41-year-old Terry Alonzo Scarborough of Elberton and charged him with drug possession after a traffic stop Wednesday on Petersburg Road. As of Monday afternoon, bond had yet to be set for Scarborough, who was being held at the Elbert County Detention Center.
On Friday, Sheriff’s officers arrested two Elberton residents on drug possession charges at a safety checkpoint location. Willie Karrie Surrency, age 53, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession and use of drug-related objects. Martha Jean Huff, age 51, was charged with felony marijuana possession. Surrency was being held Monday at the Detention Center on $11,000 bond, and Huff was being held on $5,000 bond.
