"She’s the Real Deal": Keith Urban Brags on Maren Morris’s Success at the CMA Noms

Columbia NashvilleKeith Urban couldn’t be prouder, as his Ripcord World Tour-mate walks away with most-nominated status at this year’s CMA Awards. Maren Morris equals both Eric Church and Chris Stapleton, grabbing five nods, while her Australian-superstar boss nabs four, including one for the coveted Entertainer of the Year.

“She so deserves every bit of this," Keith brags. "She's the real deal. She's an amazing songwriter, she can deliver live, she can really sing. In addition to being recognized for her album, Maren is also up for Female Vocalist and New Artist of the Year, while her breakthrough hit, “My Church,” vies for both Single and Song. We’ll find out if she wins November 2, when The 50th Annual CMA Awards air on ABC.
