STATE CLEARS DA PARKS WHITE OF CAMPAIGN WRONGDOING

Parks-Whiteofficial-250x236After a three-month investigation by the State Attorney General’s office, the case against Northern Judicial Circuit District Attorney Parks White has been dismissed.

On August 31st, the State Attorney General’s office released its findings into allegations White illegally used the endorsement of Hartwell Police Chief Anthony Davis and his officers in re-election campaign mail outs, without first getting written permission from the Hartwell City Council.

In the short ruling, Assistant State Attorney General Blair McGowan cited case law, State vs Hanson, in his decision to dismiss the warrant.

White said he Friday night he is pleased with the State’s ruling.
