Sundown Ready: Why Canaan Smith Is a Creature of the Night

Mercury NashvilleRascal Flatts may’ve been “Prayin’ for Daylight” with their debut hit from 2000, but Canaan Smith is exactly the opposite -- so much so, he’s coined a new term for his preference, and made that the name of his upcoming dates.

“The inspiration for this tour came from life on the road and meeting fans who are fun-loving, ‘sundown ready,’ just like me and my band,” Canaan says. “Instead of taking time off, we couldn’t resist getting back out there with the fans.”

The Virginia native will kick off his Sundown Ready Tour October 7 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Expect to hear Canaan’s million-selling breakthrough number one, “Love You Like That,” as well as its follow-up, “Hole in a Bottle.” Both are from his debut album Bronco.
