Texas Teen Girl Shot with Bullet During Water Gun Fight

iStock/Thinkstock(SPRING, Texas) -- A water gun fight turned tragic when a real gun became involved.

According to ABC News affiliate KTRK-TV, a 15-year-old girl was shot by a 40-year-old man Saturday during a water gun fight at a family gathering.

"We saw the man after they was playing with the water gun fight. He was getting his clothes and they were dry and he so happened to have a gun in between and when he came out with it, he spinned it around he accidentally shot the girl," neighbor Micah Stewart told KTRK-TV. "Two shots went off, one went into her arm."

The teen was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition, according to KTRK-TV.

Investigators were questioning the male suspect Saturday night.
