Craig Sjodin/ABCThey’ve been on tour together, recorded a song together, and now Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge are teaming up once again. Wednesday morning on Good Morning America, the two revealed they’ll host this year’s ABC primetime special from the CMA Music Festival.

“I’ve played my heart out on every size stage at CMA Fest, from the crowds of 20 to the big stadium,” Brett says, “because I love the energy of the festival and the country music fans so much. And now I get to host the whole thing with one of my best pals! You can’t beat that!”

Thomas Rhett shares his excitement. “Some of my favorite memories are me and my buddies sitting in the nosebleeds watching our heroes play,” he recalls.  It’s surreal and a huge honor to be hosting and performing on this stage.”

CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock tapes next week in Nashville, with the three-hour musical extravaganza set to air Wednesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
