The "Rumor" is true: Lee Brice has a pop hit

ABC/Image Group LA More than seven weeks after Lee Brice topped the country chart with “Rumor,” the South Carolina native now has a pop hit on his hands.

“Y'all, #Rumor just debuted at #25 on the Billboard and Mediabase Pop Adult Contemporary charts!!” he tweeted on Thursday.

“Thank you to everyone showing this song some love!” he added. “Let's keep this thing moving to the top!!”

Maroon 5 and rapper Cardi B are currently at #1 on this particular chart, but Lee does have some other country company: Dan + Shay are at #9 with “Speechless,” while Ronnie Milsap and Dolly Parton are at #30 with their remake of “Smokey Mountain Rain.”

So far, Lee hasn’t revealed how he’ll follow up “Rumor” on the country chart.
