Thomas Rhett Cures His Boredom by Getting "Tangled Up" in a Deluxe Edition

BMLGThomas Rhett breathes new life into his sophomore release Friday, as Tangled Up Deluxe comes out in stores and online. The new edition of his second album adds five new tracks, including a remix of his smash hit, “Die a Happy Man,” that features pop phenomenon Tori Kelly.

TR says the expanded version is a great vehicle to pave the way for album number-three.

“I've never done a Deluxe before, which is nice. It's kind of like a great bridge. I go through a phase in between records where I'm like, 'Gosh, I'm bored! Can we please put more songs out?' So that's what this Deluxe did for us.”

One of the new tunes has already cracked the top 20.

“'Star of the Show' is one of those songs that I wrote right after I got married in 2012,” Thomas recalls, “so for that song to kinda resurface and raise its hand as a single was pretty cool. So to hear it on the radio now after writing it so long ago is amazing.”

Thomas Rhett kicks off his very first headlining trek, the 2017 Home Team Tour, with Kelsea Ballerini, in Saginaw, Michigan in February.
