Thomas Rhett visits New York City firehouse with family on 9/11 anniversary

ABC/Image Group LAThomas Rhett spent September 11 in New York City with his family. The singer, along with wife Lauren, newborn Ada James and 22-month-old Willa Gray, took a moment to pay their respects to firefighters at Ladder Co. 25.

Lauren shared the visit on Instagram -- including a picture of Willa donning a plastic firefighter hat and posing inside a fire truck.

“So grateful and honored to get to know some of the FDNY today,” Lauren wrote of her family’s visit. “I still remember sitting in my chair in middle school that morning watching on TV our country being attacked, seeing the World Trade Center buildings fall and watching so many lives being lost.”

Willa Gray, meanwhile, lightened the mood as additional video clips showed the couple's adorable daughter watching a fireman slide down a pole and staring at the firetruck lights, all while her little sister slept soundly in her stroller.
