The students at Arkansas State University were reported missing in the Batesville cave system, near Cushman, Wednesday evening.

One of the students, a senior had taken the other two, incoming students from Japan, on a spelunking tour of the cave system, the school said.

Their conditions were not immediately known, except that they were very cold and wet, according to a dispatcher for Independence County.
