Brian Kemp is still feeling the warm afterglow of his endorsement by President Trump. He plans to top it off on Saturday with a rally in Macon featuring Vice President Mike Pence. It will be held at the Macon Centreplex on Saturday afternoon. Cagle too has his plans. He’s in the middle of his third bus tour and will be making stops on Saturday in Northeast Georgia and metro Atlanta, and on Sunday in Barrow and Morgan counties. He will likely be reminding voters about his endorsement by Governor Deal. Turnout is expected to be thin in the runoff, so both candidates will be encouraging their supporters to get out and vote.
Most polls have shown Brian Kemp and Casey Cagle running neck and neck up until now, but some of the latest polls seem to indicate that Kemp is gaining ground in the race. The Kemp endorsement by President Trump this week likely helped the Sec of State, and he plans to remind voters about it at a rally on Saturday afternoon at the Macon Centreplex featuring Vice President Mike Pence. Casey Cagle will wrap up his third bus tour this weekend with stops around the state including in White, Towns, Barrow, and Morgan counties.
