We are the world: Luke Bryan circles the globe with "American Idol"

ABC/Craig SjodinEven though Luke Bryan is in his second season of American Idol on ABC, the Georgia native says he's still trying to wrap his mind around the global reach of the show.

"We were doing American Idol liners the other day," he explains, "and I was like, 'Hey, I'm Luke Bryan, and if you're turning in from India,' or 'if you're turning in from Denmark.'"

It's a phenomenon Luke's gotten to witness first-hand as he tours the world.

"I was in Australia and American Idol's all over Australia and stuff like that," he tells ABC Radio. "And I start realizing, you know, it's American Idol, but, you know, people around the globe are seeing my voice and it's really fun."

Right now, fans are waiting to see how Luke will follow up his latest number one, "What Makes You Country."

You can tune in to watch Luke and fellow judges Lionel Richie and Katy Perry tonight, as the Hollywood Rounds continue at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
